Members of the Swedish Businessmen’s Group headed by the Swedish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ake Karlsson recently visited the Tetra Pak Saudi Arabia factory south of Jeddah, a Swedish commercial venture in the Kingdom, which ranks among the top five most productive Tetra Pak factories in the world.

The factory, which produced a record 400 million packages in March, exports aseptic packaging throughout the Middle East region, with orders from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and beyond now processed in Jeddah before being shipped to liquid food producers for processing.

The Tetra Pak facility includes the converting factory, where some of the household names in the Saudi dairy industry—including Sadafco, Al-Safi and NADEC—have their product packages manufactured and printed.

Peder Berggren said on the occasion that he was delighted that Jeddah was now a major focus for the Middle East beverage and food industry. “This is the second year of full scale operations,” he added. “The facility has undergone significant growth, and the most recent addition is the opening of a new straw factory ensuring that a complete solution is provided to beverage and food producers, whether in Saudi Arabia, the GCC, or beyond.” — (menareport.com)
