(MEBG) — PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), the world’s largest professional services firm, has signed a $950,000 management consultancy project deal with the Saudi Arabian Public Transport Company (SAPTCO), to transform and reorganize SAPTCO into a more market-driven and customer-focused corporation, the Bahrain Tribune reported.
As part of the new project, a new management structure will be implemented to help SAPTCO respond efficiently to consumer demands and to meet the challenges of a competitive market. The project will transform SAPTCO into an independent business entity, with enhanced day-to-day operations and customer service.
"The reorganization will enable us to impart a high level of service to the pilgrims to holy sites in Saudi Arabiasaid Abdul Moshadak, SAPTCO’s general manager.
The Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO) was established in 1979, and has since grown into a national bus service, providing cheap public transport within and between major population centers in the kingdom.
PricewaterhouseCoopers, which is represented in 150 nations worldwide, reported a worldwide revenue of $17.3 billion in 1999. It was created by the merger of two of the world’s major accounting and management consulting, Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand.
