Yas Marina Circuit plays host to Yas Racing Series Round 3, which includes the F3 Asian Championship, Asian Le Mans Series and NGK UAE ProCar Championship, this coming weekend.

Another weekend of competitive and entertaining race action, in the heart of Abu Dhabi, is all but guaranteed as Yas Racing Series returns to the home of the FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX on 19-20 February.

The event will include the fifth and final round of this year’s F3 Asian Championship, which is set to feature father and daughter duo, Khaled and Amna Al Qubaisi, who will be driving for Abu Dhabi Racing by Prema.

Going into the final round of race action, both the Driver and Team Championships remain firmly in the balance.

Abu Dhabi Racing by Prema’s Guanyu Zhou is still in contention to claim the Drivers’ Championship following a hugely consistent performance throughout the competition so far. He is occupying second place, 32 points behind Pinnacle Motorsport’s Pierre-Louis Chovet, the current leader.

In the Team Classification, meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Racing by Prema are the current leaders, ahead of second placed Pinnacle Motorsport, going into the final round of races.

Also forming part of Yas Racing Series Round 3 will be the conclusion of the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series.

Now in its ninth season, the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series is made up of four separate four-hour races, with the first two having taken place at Dubai Autodrome last weekend.

Not only will there be a record-breaking grid, but the drive line up will also be world class. The premier class, LMP2 will see drivers with experience in racing at an elite level including Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship. The Class will also see some very exciting young drivers make the step up.

In LMP3 the battle will be fought out between drivers with extensive experience including past Championship winners, those with many seasons under their belts,  amateur drivers and young drivers still in early stages of their motorsport careers. The 19 car GT field will be a battle between six of the biggest manufactures in GT racing. This battle will be fierce with an impressive line-up of factory drivers taking part in the battle for Championship glory and the much sort after invitation to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Big name drivers include ex-F1 star Giancarlo Fisichella, competing for AF Corse, while Yas Marina Circuit instructor Axcil Jefferies will be part of the GPX Racing team.

Yas Marina Circuit now prepares to host the final two races on February 19-20, bringing what promises to be an exciting conclusion to this year’s event.
