Yas Island Goes Green In Celebration Of Saudi Arabia’s First Founding Day

Yas Island Abu Dhabi, one of the world’s leading leisure and entertainment hubs, was covered in green in celebration of Saudi Arabia’s first Founding Day on February 22, 2022.

A royal order issued by King Salman bin Abdulaziz in January of this year declared February 22 as the Kingdom’s Founding Day and an annual public holiday, honoring the foundation of the Emirate of Diriyah as the First Saudi State in 1727. Cities across the Kingdom will acknowledge the momentous occasion with a of host cultural celebrations over three days, highlighting the Kingdom's illustrious past and present. 

Yas Island joins in the celebration of Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day as attractions around Yas Island are lit in green, including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. WorldTM Abu Dhabi, CLYMBTM Abu Dhabi, W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island, and Etihad Arena.
