Last week more than 1500 ladies from across Dubai took part in a variety of fitness and health-related activities during Wellness Day 2012 at Dubai Ladies Club, a member of Dubai Women Establishment. This Open-Day event was organised to celebrate International Women’s Day by drawing attention to women’s health for a productive and happy life. Wellness Day was Day held in association with Samsung Home Appliances and co-sponsored by Porsche and CosmeSurge as Wellness Walk sponsors.

Madelaine Stocks, Wellness Manager at Dubai Ladies Club, commented: "We are delighted to see that many women have taken their first steps towards good health for themselves and their families by attending Wellness Day 2012. Our program for the day was designed to provide ladies with ample opportunities to learn the facts they need to make smart health choices, and to make time for regular physical activity. It is imperative for women to be healthy as they play a very vital role in maintaining the health of their family and the community as well. The best gift the body asks for is good health.”
Moreover, during the event Samsung Home Appliances, Title Sponsors of Wellness Day, promoted wellness and healthy living by providing healthy recipes and organic meals to visitors during an all day live cooking demonstration.
