Volkswagen Middle East’s roadshow arrives in Dubai

Volkswagen Middle East, in cooperation with Al Nabooda Automobiles, has announced the dates for the Dubai leg of its cross-country GCC roadshow.
Both companies will be showcasing the Volkswagen range to the people of the GCC, and the roadshow will bring iconic cars to iconic locations in Dubai including The Burj Steps, Downtown Dubai, Mall of the Emirates and Emirates Hills. Fresh from a hugely successful tour of Oman and other GCC nations in 2011 during which more than 3092 test drives were taken by members of the public, an average of 100 per day the roadshow lands in Dubai on 22 March, finishing on 7 April.
The Dubai event offers the public an opportunity to test drive the wide range of Volkswagen models including the flagship Touareg, the recently launched all-new Jetta and the legendary Golf GTI and Golf R. It’s also a chance to meet Volkswagen representatives and learn more about the firm’s innovative cars and special offers.
Discussing the roadshow, Thierry Seys, General Manager of the Volkswagen Brand at Al Nabooda Automobiles, said: “The roadshow is a perfect way for us to interact with our customers, and offer them a first-hand experience with our cars. Volkswagen means ‘the people’s car’, and we feel it’s important that we engage with the communities we’re local to. The Dubai roadshow is an excellent opportunity to do just that.”
He continued: This roadshow is part of our customer orientation philosophy and expansion strategy across the Northern Emirates. This year we will be opening state-of-the-art brand-exclusive facilities in Sharjah and Fujairah, emphasising our first-class sales and after-sales experience.”
The UAE is the final leg of an ambitious six-nation, 13-city tour, which successfully started last year in Saudi Arabia and has visited Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman before landing in Dubai.
“Volkswagen is committed to delivering innovative yet affordable cars, and we’re proud of the range of vehicles we offer in the Middle East,” Stefan Mecha, managing director, Volkswagen Middle East said. “This roadshow gives us an opportunity to raise the awareness of Volkswagen throughout the region by encouraging the public to interact with our cars and our representatives.”
Background Information
Volkswagen Middle East
Volkswagen’s relationship with the Middle East dates back to when the first Beetle was sold here many years ago. Since then, the brand has witnessed an exponential expansion. In 2005 Volkswagen, Europe’s largest car manufacturer, confirmed its commitment to its customers and partners in the region with the opening of the Volkswagen Middle East Regional Office based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This initiative has allowed the brand to introduce a wider variety of Volkswagen models to the region and strengthen their dedication to their patrons.
