VMware Announces New Country Director for Saudi Arabia

VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), a leading innovator in enterprise software, has today announced the appointment of Saif M. Mashat as VMware Saudi Arabia country director. Saif will be responsible for implementing and driving VMware’s growth and development across the country at a time when organisations are looking to simplify and accelerate their digital transformation in order to stay competitive.

Saif brings almost two decades of experience in the IT industry, having earned himself a reputation as a transformation expert during his times in senior leadership roles at IBM, SAP, Oracle and Microsoft, as well as in a number of start-ups. He joins from IBM Saudi Arabia’s Cloud Business Unit, where he oversaw an operation comprising of more than 40 professionals working across cloud services, software and technical sales.

Outside of work, Saif plays squash to national level and represented the Saudi national team for more than 13 years, and he has held the Arab Championship in the ‘over 35’ category for the past three years.
