University of Dubai marks presence at FHEETX

The University of Dubai (UD) marked its first participation at the annual Fujairah Higher Education & Educational Technologies Exhibition (FHEETX) in an attempt to attract students from the emirate and promote the world-class academic programs of the university to a wider market.

The 3^rd edition of FHEEX held from 29^th April to 1^st May at Al Bustan Hall – Fujairah was the largest and only complete education event, bringing the ‘best of the best’ local and international universities, colleges, institutes and educational technologies suppliers to promote their programs and services to potential students.

Dr. Hussein Fakhry, Dean, Information Technology, University of Dubai, said: “Our participation in the Fujairah Education Expo was part of the commitment to serve the educational needs of students from across the UAE and our continued support of the government’s Emiratization initiative. We are here to develop and educate leaders who will make a difference in the business worlds. We are pleased to promote the programs that we can offer to Al Fujairah students who attended the exhibition.”

The team highlighted to potential students the university’s masters programs including the Master of Science (MSc) degree program in Information Systems Management, the Master of Law (LLM), and the Masters program in Business Administration. Information about the new campus was also conveyed to visitors at the exhibition.

Aside from the masters programs, UD also featured its bachelors program and services including its curriculum which follows the American system of education. The Computing and Information Systems program offered by the College of Information Technology is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET since October 2006. The College of Business Administration has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since April 2009.  Only 5% of business schools worldwide hold this prestigious accreditation.  These two international accreditations position UD as one of the first university to be accredited for business and information technology programs among private universities recognized by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
