University of Dubai still accepting new students for Fall Semester

Registration for Fall Semester is still ongoing at University of Dubai (UD) with classes scheduled to begin on August 31. A new Master of Laws (LLM) degree is also scheduled to begin later in the fall. 

The university will begin the new academic year with a newly appointed president, Dr. Eesa Mohammed Bastaki, whose extensive experience in education, leadership, technology and communications will prove a major asset in leading the university into its next progressive phase, which includes the building of a new campus and the addition of several programs such as a Master of Laws degree and a Doctorate degree in Business Administration. 

The new Master of Laws program will offer students two major options: Arbitration and Dispute Resolution; and Financial Crime and Money Laundering. The two majors were designed to address the emerging needs resulting from the rapid growth of business in Dubai. UD representatives commented that as business in the UAE grows and evolves, it is important to ensure business practices remain fair and companies remain responsible. The men and women graduating with an LLM from UD, they say, will have the responsibility of accomplishing this task.
