Toyota launches the new 2012 land cruiser in Saudi Arabia

Abdul Latif Jameel Co. (ALJ) has revealed the new 2012 Land Cruiser in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The 2012 Land Cruiser features a number of changes inspired by the latest demands of its customers and continues the legacy of one of the most popular cars in Saudi Arabia where it enjoys the status as the conqueror of the desert. With changes to the exterior and interior design of the vehicle it continues to convey a rugged yet luxurious image while delivering high performance and durability, with new technology for advanced off-roading.
The introduction of the new vehicle to the Saudi market was conducted during a ceremony in Jeddah Corniche attended by a number of company officials, and a large gathering of Toyota Land Cruiser fans.
Commenting on the launch of the new Land Cruiser, Sadayoshi Koyari, Chief Engineer, Product Planning Group, said: "The new Land Cruiser is a vehicle that continues its 60 year history of strength, durability and reliability while adding multiple new technologies and features. With changes to the interior and exterior and a refined sense of luxury, we have kept a lot of what made our existing customers trust and love the Land Cruiser, while adding more to the legend of this vehicle"
Mr. Faisal Al Abdullah, Vice President of ALJ, stated: "The launch of the new Land Cruiser is a clear indication that Toyota continues to lead the auto industry in style, technological innovation and advanced safety features. Today, we are confirming our commitment to our customers to provide them with latest vehicles from Toyota supported by ALJ's renowned excellence in after sales service."
Adding his remarks, Eng. Adel Ezzat, Toyota Marketing Director of the SUV division at ALJ, said: "We are passionate and full of enthusiasm about launching the exciting 2012 Land Cruiser in the Saudi market because we know that the new model is eagerly anticipated by our customers, who love the Land Cruiser because it is designed to excel in the extreme climate conditions and rugged desert and mountain terrains that we experience in many parts of the kingdom."
Eng. Ezzat concluded his remarks saying: "The 2012 Land Cruiser is characterized by its strong exterior design and more luxurious and brighter interior design. Most important of all, it characterized by great driving performance, significantly enhanced by the multi-terrain feature. I believe that with the new Land Cruiser, Toyota will again succeed in winning the hearts and minds of four wheel drive enthusiasts in the kingdom as well as the rest of the world."
The new Land Cruiser is also equipped with a Multi-Terrain feature, which allows the vehicle to adapt to various road conditions for excellent off-road ground covering performance, which also controls Wheel Spin and Wheel Lockup. The Turn Assist System, an unprecedented feature, will be available for the new Land Cruiser. The new system enhances turning ability and minimizes the driver's effort in tight U-turns where K-turns are necessary, by applying the brake on the inside rear wheel.
The 2012 Land Cruiser features several changes to the exterior, yet also manages to reflect the heritage of the Land Cruiser identity. The front bumper has been redesigned with enlarged overhangs, creating a much thicker front bumper that expresses the Land Cruisers Power. The radiator grill has been redesigned to create a much rounder surface; a design which creates a powerful and finely-crafted image. The headlamps have been modified with HID low beams and integrated LED lights in the front of the vehicle.
The interior has also been revamped, with a new brighter design that further enhances the quality and luxury feel of the Land Cruiser as the flagship SUV in Toyota. The Center Cluster has been enhanced with Chrome-Plated ornamentation and the Instrument Panel has been redesigned with an emphasis on volume to express a sense of security and enhanced visibility. The AC vent is also plated creating a more luxurious atmosphere. Air Conditioned Seats have also been added.
The 2012 Land Cruiser is available in Saudi Arabia with the choice of a 6-speed automatic coming with a 5.7L V8 Engine, a newly developed 4.6L V8 Engine, an improved 4.0 V6 Engine and a V8 4.5L Diesel Engine, options that demonstrate the high power and performance of the Land Cruiser with an ability to tackle some of the toughest terrains around.
