Thuraya Telecommunications Company and service partner, Cygnus Telecom, are showcasing the satellite communication portfolio for the oil and gas sector at the ongoing Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (Adipec).

"There’s no better opportunity to meet with top delegates from the oil, gas, and energy sector. We are pleased to be at Adipec where we can engage with both existing and potential customers. We look forward to gaining new industry insight and perspectives as well as discussing our latest offerings and presenting how our satellite communication devices are ideal for remote worker needs, comms-on-the-move, and offshore connectivity,” Rashid Baba, Thuraya’s acting chief commercial officer, was quoted as saying by Emirates news agency Wam.

As an established satellite provider for oil and gas communication needs, Thuraya has a strong understanding of the sector’s evolving demands. At Adipec, the company is displaying its voice and data products and services. Many Thuraya offerings integrate with and are specialised for rough-terrain vehicles and oil and gas vessels.

Additionally, Thuraya’s range of XT satellite handsets are easy-to-use and serve as vital communication tools for remote personnel stationed near pipelines, at rigs or in other regions lying outside the range of terrestrial networks.
