Technology and Mathematics at Play During Robotics Workshop at Qatar National Library

Children and their parents enjoyed an afternoon of hi-tech fun and education at Qatar National Library when they participated in the “Hands-On Robotics Workshop.”
Organized in collaboration with London Academy STEM Education Center on 9 January, participants combined their knowledge in technology and mathematics and used the ‘drag-and-drop’ learning approach to build robots during the event.
Hamad Darwish, who was participating in such a workshop for the first time, said: “I plan to pursue computer programming as a career in the future, and attending these workshops at the Library is a good way to get a head start in preparing to succeed in that phase of my life.”
Balsam Nawari, who accompanied her son to the workshop, said: “Holding educational workshops makes the Library highly attractive for everyone in Qatar not only to visit, but to learn something new. I bring my children to the Library often so they can benefit from the books, digital resources and events, and also to meet with their friends in a positive environment.”
