Tamkeen meets with residents of Riffa and Al-Dair

Representative from Tamkeen conducted two orientation sessions at Riffa Social Centre located in East Riffa and Matam Al-Gharbi at Al-Dair village.
During these sessions, the team highlighted to the audience Tamkeen’s role and objectives, and explained to the local community how they can enhance their skills and businesses and boost their contribution to economic development through Tamkeen’s various support programmes. The team also took time to answer questions and guide potential beneficiaries to suitable programmes according to their line of work and objectives.
The sessions are part of Tamkeen’s Community Engagement Initiative. The initiative, launched in November 2012, seeks to further boost awareness of Tamkeen’s programmes by directly engaging with all strata of Bahraini society through visits to societies, clubs, and other community centres across all areas within the five Governorates of the Kingdom.
To date, Tamkeen has served more than 77,000 Bahraini individuals and enterprises through its programmes to date, with the total number expected to reach more than 150,000.

Tamkeen is a public authority established in August 2006, tasked with supporting Bahrain’s private sector and positioning it as the key driver of economic growth and development. Tamkeen is one of the cornerstones of Bahrain’s national reform initiatives and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
Tamkeen has two primary objectives - firstly, foster the development and growth of enterprises, and second provide support to enhance the productivity and training of the national workforce. To achieve these objectives -Tamkeen’s 2018-2020 strategy focuses on Diversifying offerings, Accelerate delivery and Sustaining Impact.
