Tamkeen holds orientation session with higher education institutions
Tamkeen, in partnership with the Higher Education Council, recently organised an orientation session with different higher education institutions and their student council representatives. The session, in line with Tamkeen’s ongoing efforts to support Bahrainis throughout all stages of development and to enhance their skills development was held at the Westin Hotel and saw the participation of 30 representatives from 11 universities and educational institutions and their student councils.
The forum highlighted Tamkeen’s diverse range of support initiatives and programmes and the available support for the private education institutions to both the institutions and individuals and raised awareness about the potential benefit of these programmes to participants. The session also included various discussion about possible ways of collaboration between Tamkeen, HEC, the educational institutions and the student councils.
Commenting on the importance of the session, Tamkeen’s Chief Executive, Dr. Ebrahim Janahi said: “Tamkeen has always placed an emphasis on professionally developing the youth segment and equipping them with the knowledge, skills training and opportunities to thrive when taking their initial steps into their professional careers. Developing the skills of Bahrain’s youth as they eventually become part of the country’s workforce is an integral investment to ensure further growth and sustainability for Bahrain’s economy.”
