H. E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa highlighted a number of relevant key issues such as ways to create jobs and review policies, the role of the public sector, support for the private sector, investments required for economic development and job creation, and the importance for balanced development. He also illustrated Bahrain's experience in this regard through the kingdom's national reform initiatives and economic vision.
Creating job opportunities, which is the main theme of the 12th edition of the Arab Thought Foundation Conference "Fikr 12", is one of the biggest current and future challenges globally. The conference hopes to formulate a new economic model to help address this challenge in light of the exponential growth of the youth segment, especially in the Arab world.
The conference will identify the future requirements of the labor market in the Arab world, set out a clear and accurate vision of the Arab economy, and draw up future plans capable of achieving viable comprehensive reforms on all levels. The participants will also discuss the obstacles to job creation and the required policies and solutions to create the appropriate environment to address this challenge.
