Tamkeen strategic partner of “Innovation in Technology Conference” and “eShabab Competition 2013”

Tamkeen signed an agreement with Work Smart, organisers of the upcoming “Innovation in Technology Conference” and “eShabab Competition 2013” as a strategic partner of the two events, which will be held in early July.
As per the agreement, Bahrainis can benefit from Tamkeen’s “Conference Attendance Support Scheme”. The scheme, launched in 2012, enables Bahrainis to attend conferences, seminars, forums, or similar short-term events by subsidising 80% of the registration and attendance fees. Those interested may visit Tamkeen’s website (www.tamkeen.bh) for more details and view an updated list of the events from which they can benefit under this scheme.
The “Conference Attendance Support Scheme” is part of Tamkeen’s objective to develop the capabilities and skills of Bahrainis and enhance their employability. It enables Bahrainis to find out about international best practices, create valuable networking opportunities to boost their careers, as well as promoting Bahrain as a leading events and training hub.
The “Innovation in Technology Conference” is expected to attract more than 400 decision makers and professionals from companies from the ICT industry. In addition, the event will feature panel discussions with 20 renowned experts on the latest innovations and trends in the field.
In its third version, eShabab competition invites university students to compete through creating innovative projects that enjoy creativity and smart solutions. Winning projects will be awarded and provided with the support needed.
According to the event organisers, partnering with Tamkeen stems from their vision for this event as a national festival which celebrates creativity and innovation, and further molds Bahrain’s human capital into leaders of tomorrow.
The event will be held in Bahrain International Exhibitions and Convention Centre July 1st to 3rd, 2013 under the patronage of His Excellency Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of State for Communications Affairs.
To date, more than 75,000 Bahrainis and enterprises have benefited from Tamkeen’s programmes, with more than 100,000 beneficiaries set to benefit from these programmes in all.
