Tamkeen drives youth potential

As part of its on-going efforts to provide Bahrainis with opportunities to reach their full potential and progress in their careers, Tamkeen held an open day with more than 30 students from the University of Bahrain at the Business College Society to shed light on the various programmes available to students in order to help them develop and advance in their future careers.
Mr. Raed Abdullah, from the Customer Engagement & Support at Tamkeen delivered a presentation to the students on the various training programmes on offerwhich was then followed by an open Q&A session. Key programmes such as Career Progression, Talent Management, Mashroo3i, and A9eel were discussed.
Tamkeen works with a number of partners to offer quality training and educational programmes for Bahrain’s youth in order to develop their professional skills and increase their employability. Most recently, Tamkeen launched the “Mashroo3i” Youth Business Awards, which aims to enable Bahrain’s budding entrepreneurs in the age group of 16 to 23 years to showcase their creative business ideas and turn them into a successful business plans.
Tamkeen has to date designed nearly 180 programmes available through which enhance the capabilities of Bahrainis and improve the productivity of enterprises within the private sector.

Tamkeen is a public authority established in August 2006, tasked with supporting Bahrain’s private sector and positioning it as the key driver of economic growth and development. Tamkeen is one of the cornerstones of Bahrain’s national reform initiatives and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
Tamkeen has two primary objectives - firstly, foster the development and growth of enterprises, and second provide support to enhance the productivity and training of the national workforce. To achieve these objectives -Tamkeen’s 2018-2020 strategy focuses on Diversifying offerings, Accelerate delivery and Sustaining Impact.
