The activities were organized as part of stc’s ongoing efforts to support the entrepreneurial community and SMEs by creating opportunities to exchange experiences, gain practical business insights, and engage directly with founders who have successfully built and scaled their ventures.

Hosted at stc’s headquarters in Assima Tower, the activities included a series of entrepreneurship workshops as well as a dedicated podcast series featuring successful founders and business leaders from across different sectors. Together, these engagements provide entrepreneurs, business owners, and stc employees with opportunities to gain practical insights, exchange experiences, and learn from the journeys of individuals who have successfully established and grown their businesses. Through ‘weyak’, stc continues to support Kuwait’s entrepreneurial community by creating opportunities for meaningful discussions that address the realities of the sector and the evolving needs of SMEs.

As part of the initiative, stc hosted a workshop in collaboration with V-Thru, a Kuwaiti startup specializing in technology solutions for the restaurant sector. During the session, Abdullah Alshalabi, Founder and CEO of V-Thru, shared the company’s journey from inception to growth and highlighted a range of solutions designed to help restaurant operators streamline their operations and enhance customer experiences. The discussion also explored how technology is transforming the sector and creating new opportunities for business expansion.

In a separate workshop, Najeeb Al-Mutawa, CEO and Co-Founder of Empower, shared his experience in establishing and growing a company focused on logistics services and business support solutions. The session provided attendees with valuable perspectives on overcoming operational challenges, adapting to changing market conditions, and identifying opportunities that contribute to long-term business success. Participants also engaged in discussions centered on business development and the practical lessons learned throughout the entrepreneurial journey.

The initiative also included a podcast series under ‘weyak’ featuring several successful founders and business leaders. The series included Sulaiman Al-Tunaib, Co-Founder and CFO of Waves App, Najeeb Al-Mutawa, CEO and Co-Founder of Empower, and Athbi Alenezi, Co-Founder and CEO of JustClean, who each shared their entrepreneurial journeys and reflected on the experiences that shaped the growth of their businesses. Guests discussed the challenges they encountered while establishing and scaling their ventures, the decisions that influenced their growth trajectories, and the lessons learned along the way. The conversations offered listeners practical insights drawn from real-world experiences while highlighting the importance of adaptability, innovation, and long-term vision in today’s business environment.
