Starbucks launches two stores at Queen Alia International Airport

Starbucks has opened two new stores in Jordan, both located at Queen Alia International Airport’s new terminal, which was inaugurated last month. Passengers travelling through the airport will now be able to enjoy the world-class experience of Starbucks’ high quality array of specialty coffees and beverages.
The launch of these new stores, which are conveniently located in the departure and arrival terminals, falls in line with Starbucks’ long-term expansion strategy in the Middle East. The premium coffee company aims to increase its reach around Jordan, making its rich selection of ethically sourced coffees available to a wider range of consumers. With the opening of these two strategically located coffee shops, Starbucks’ presence now comprises 11 locations around the kingdom.
Commenting on the occasion, Regional Communications and CSR Manager of Starbucks Coffee MENA Rana Shaheen said: “We at Starbucks are very pleased to expand our presence in Jordan, and we are particularly honored to be part of the kingdom’s newest national landmark, offering airport passengers the chance to experience our high quality range of products. With this expansion, we are reaffirming our commitment to enriching the communities in which we operate.”
Currently, Starbucks has more than 320 stores in ten countries throughout the region, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Morocco, Qatar, KSA and the UAE. The company employs more than 2,800 partners in the region and has organised a plethora of community development initiatives under its Community Connections programme, which seeks to promote the spirit of volunteerism and encourage young men and women to create positive change in their communities.
