The Pearl-Qatar’s spring carnival serves up music filled weekends

The Pearl-Qatar, the Middle East’s most glamorous address, is the place to be as the weather heats up, providing residents and visitors with a range of musical entertainment.
Every weekend until May 19, The Pearl-Qatar is hosting musical acts from around the globe in a celebration of the Island’s multicultural community and Qatar’s great outdoor lifestyle.
While the carnival atmosphere will continue inside the retail precincts, a main stage is hosting top performers including a jazz saxophonist and bands showcasing music from the Arab world as well as countries including Russia, Spain and North America.
Visitors can walk around the carnival and experience all the musical acts, or they can enjoy the scintillating roving performers. A children’s area completes the family fun-filled atmosphere by providing face painting, balloon animal making, and other activities including arts, crafts and games.
Every night on the weekend a brass band troupe, accompanied by performers, play their infectious music around Porto Arabia Boardwalk entertaining all.
“The Pearl-Qatar is a true multicultural community and what better way to reflect that than with musical performers from the Middle East and around the world who will appeal to the entire family,” Fadi El Kik, Chairman of The Pearl-Qatar Executive Board said. “The Carnival itself has proven extremely popular with activities for the whole family, but it is the musical acts which have set the fun filled tone.”
Festivities run Thursdays through Saturdays and will kick off every evening from 6 p.m. during the week and 3 p.m. during weekends. The carnival will run until May 19.
