Sheikha Hind Welcomes the First Lady of Sierra Leone to Qatar Education City

Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani met Mrs. Bio at QF Headquarters.

Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation (QF), welcomed Mrs. Fatima Maada Bio, the First Lady of Sierra Leone, to Education City today.

Her Excellency met Mrs. Bio at QF Headquarters, where she was given a comprehensive presentation highlighting QF’s different education institutes, science and research centers, and community development initiatives.

During the visit, Mrs. Bio learned how QF’s flagship development, Education City, serves as a hub of academic excellence, housing a range of educational facilities, from QF schools to partner universities and its homegrown research institute, Hamad Bin Khalifa University.

Following the presentation, Mrs. Bio and the Sierra Leone delegation were taken to the open-air viewing platform on the eighth floor of QF HQ, where they were shown the infrastructure of Education City and discussed future plans at QF.
