Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visits DED's ‘Consumer Protection Centre’

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, today, met a number of shopping mall visitors during his tour to the Dubai Department of Economic Development's Consumer Protection Centre at Mirdif City Centre, and emphasised the vital role played by the centre in enhancing the awareness of consumers on their rights, duties and the Consumer Protection Law No. 24 (2006). 

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor, accompanied by His Excellency Sami Ahmed Al Qamzi, Director General of DED; Omar Bushahab, CEO, Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection Division; and officials from DED, toured the centre and viewed the services provided to consumers. The centre will function at Mirdif City Centre until October 8. 

Representatives from DED’s Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection Division are present at the Consumer Protection Centre to receive complaints directly from consumers, follow them up and find on-ground solutions. They distribute brochures, leaflets and posters related to consumer rights as reserved and guaranteed by the law, in addition to copies of the Blue Book.

The Consumer Protection Centre at Mirdif City Centre will function until October 8. Consumer Protection Centres will subsequently be hosted at The Dubai Mall (Oct. 10-15); Dubai Festival City (Oct. 17-22); Arabian Centre (Oct. 24-29); Ibn Battuta Mall (Nov. 9-14); Mall of the Emirates (Nov. 16-21) and Deira City Centre (Nov. 23-28).
