Schneider Electric Promotes Waseem Taqqali To Lead Services Across the Middle East and Africa

Schneider Electric has appointed Waseem Taqqali as the Vice President Services for the Middle East and Africa. Taqqali, who joined Schneider Electric in 2013, has been promoted from his current role as Vice President Services for the Gulf. An industry veteran with several decades of experience, Taqqali will be tasked with leading one of Schneider Electric’s fastest growing segments and supporting customers with the company’s in-person and online service solutions.

A Jordanian national, Taqqali’s experience spans areas such as energy management, technology and sustainability; he previously held roles at Accenture, Masdar, DEWA and ADWEA. Waseem joined Schneider Electric in 2013 as the Building Business VP for the Gulf. In 2016 he took over the Services business in the Gulf & Pakistan Cluster. 

Schneider Electric’s services business primarily focuses on asset reliability and operational efficiency for thousands of customers in the region.  By optimizing day-to-day operations and maximizing equipment life, Schneider Electric’s services team ensures business continuity and peak performance for customers in sectors such as consumer packaged goods, healthcare, mining, oil and gas, transportation and utilities. The pandemic has also shifted the service business, with an increased focus on supporting customers remotely through cloud-based technologies.
