Saad Al-ghamdi Appointed As Complex Director Of Sales & Marketing For Six Marriott International Properties In Dubai

With 21 years’ experience with Marriott International, Saad Al-Ghamdi joins an extensive complex including Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, Le Meridien Fairways, Aloft & Element Al Mina, and the soon to open Aloft & Element Dubai Airport as Complex Director of Sales & Marketing. As a strong leader who prides himself in growing and nurturing talent, he will oversee and direct all aspects of the Sales and Marketing activities at the six properties.
Taking on the new position as Complex Director of Sales & Marketing, Saad will be responsible for managing the overall marketing and sales programs, comprising annual budgets, revenue, and distribution management for four operating properties, and Saad will play a pivotal role in the opening of the new Aloft & Element at Dubai Airport which is expected in Q4.
Saad career began with Jeddah & Madinah Marriott hotels where, through commitment and hard work he progressed to the role of Director of Sales & Marketing. He then took on the position of
Cluster Properties Director of Sales & Marketing for 5 properties in Saudi Arabia for which he received 2012 Sales Leader of the Year MEA.
Saad then made the move to UAE as Director of Sales & Marketing at Courtyard by Marriott Abu Dhabi, where he was a member of the pre-opening Executive Team for the first endorsed Marriott brand hotel in the capital city of the UAE. Under his leadership, the hotel received the Regional Marriott Leadership Excellence Award and Regional Hotel of the Year Award.
Prior to his new role, Saad served as a Director of Sales & Marketing at Marriott Hotel Al Forsan in Abu Dhabi and this marked Saad’s 5th pre-opening hotel.
