RJ concludes its Ramadan campaign in the cities of Ma’an and Karak
Royal Jordanian concluded its annual Ramadan campaign, after having distributed sewing machines to a number of underprivileged women in Ma’an and food parcels to unprivileged families in the southern governorate.
The citizens of Karak governorate also benefited from the Ramadan campaign, which the airline initiated many years ago. These campaigns are part of the activities it performs out of its corporate social responsibility ethos, which makes it reach out to the less fortunate and needy people in the country.
This year’s campaign, organized in cooperation with the directorates of the Social Development Ministry, included several good will initiatives meant to meet certain needs of underprivileged people in the society. It involved giving out food parcels, clothes, medical equipment and sewing machines.
RJ also held iftars for orphans, further exercising it social responsibility, with a view to offering them a few happy moments, in addition to offering them gifts and clothes for Eid Al Fiter.
RJ’s President/CEO Captain Suleiman Obeidat as well as tens of RJ employees were attending these iftars.
Obeidat, while expressing delight at having iftar with these children, stressed RJ’s keenness to continue supporting needy people as part of its national and social duty.
Goodwill parcels were distributed throughout the holy month of Ramadan in governorates such as Irbid, Madaba, Zarqa, Balqa and Ajloun.
