Ramada Downtown Dubai, located in Dubai’s most prestigious and vibrant district, observes Earth Hour with the rest world on 23rd March by switching off the lights and other power supplies for one hour.

The hotel staff and guests, led by General Manager Wael El Behi, join hands in the celebration through a small candle-lighting activity held at Orchid Restaurant. The observance of Earth Hour is part of Ramada Downtown’s continuous commitment to Wyndham Green program, which aims to adopt innovative sustainable practices and create positive impact for the environment over time.

El Behi said, “We will continue to support activities such as Earth Hour which can benefit greater environmental causes such as energy conservation and the fight against climate change. As a member of Wyndham group, we always reinforce environmental awareness campaign towards sustaining a green and healthy planet for future generation.”

Organized by the World Wildlife Fund, Earth Hour has grown into a global movement with over 5 million supporters in over 100 countries since its start in Australia in 2007.
