Qtel celebrates Eid with gifts

Qtel will celebrate the Eid Holiday with their team of Refaq volunteers distributing gifts and Eid greetings across the community.
The Refaq volunteers will be setting up 10 tents in Qatar’s neighbourhoods, where they will serve traditional Eid assortments, including coffee, karak and sweets right after Eid prayers.
The volunteers will travel throughout the different areas, providing sweets and gifts to children. The areas include the Old Airport, Al Wukair, Izgawa, Ain Khalid, Al Rayyan, Al Wakra, Bin Imran, Al Hilal, Muaither and Al Dafna.
The volunteers will also be distributing a series of greeting cards designed in a special competition held during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The designers of the cards have all been presented with an iPad following the competition.
“Through these events, Qtel continues to give back to our community to celebrate Eid. The Refaq volunteers continue to give their time and energy to doing good deeds for the community and we thank them for their efforts,” said Hamad Al Marzouqi, Assistant Director of Sponsorship and Corporate Social Responsibility, Qtel.
Refaq is a major community programme, organised and supported by Qtel. It is one of the most important strands of the “Alkhair” (Goodness) initiative from Qtel, designed to encourage Good Deeds during the Holy Month.
The initiative has enjoyed an incredible response from people looking to volunteer, particularly young Qatari nationals, who will continue to give their time over the Eid holidays.
