Celebrating Qatar’s 40 year relations with Japan, Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) will be participating in Qatar Week: Ferjan Tokyo, the five day celebration taking place in Tokyo. 

Taking part in the excitement and festivities, Qatar will be strongly represented by a host of strategic partners in addition to the MIA, such as the QTA, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy of Japan in Qatar, Embassy of the State of Qatar in Japan, Qatar Airways, Doha Film Institute, Katara, Ministry of Business & Trade, Qatar 2022, Qatar Foundation and Reach Out to Asia. 

From the 27th of September to the 1st of October, Feerjan will promote mutual understanding, and appreciation of the cultures, traditions and people of the State of Qatar and Japan.

In addition to presenting a set of traditional and cultural activities at its booth, QTA will be collaboration with the Ritz- Carlton to bring mouthwatering Qatari recipes to the Japanese audience. 

Mr. Issa Al Mohannadi, Chairman of Qatar Tourism Authority said: “Qatar Week is a great opportunity to showcase Qatar’s rich culture and its diverse set of offerings to the Japanese community. Through the set of activities organized for the week, we will be able to share our heritage and traditions with the nation that appreciates an affluent history. The number of Japanese tourists and residents in Qatar has considerably increased over the past few years, and we are certain that the numbers will increase further after the Frejaan week that is set to celebrate the long friendship and business relation with between Qatar and Japan.”
