Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development hosted Her Excellency Fatema Marouane, Morocco’s Minister of Handicrafts, Social Economy and Solidarity, earlier today. A welcoming committee led by Engineer Saad Al Muhannadi, President of Qatar Foundation, received the Minister, at the Qatar Foundation Visitors Center.

HE Marouane is in Doha at the head of an official delegation from the Kingdom of Morocco, to foster greater commercial and industrial business cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom. The two nations however, are already linked through a number of agreements in various areas.

HE Marouane and her delegation were shown a presentation that outlined the vision and mission of Qatar Foundation. They were also introduced to Qatar Foundation’s many educational initiatives, community development plans, and scientific research programmes.

Appointed to her post earlier this year, HE Marouane is a member of Morocco’s National Council of the National Assembly of Independents and the Council of the Region of Casablanca City. She is also a laureate at the Faculty of Medicine of Lyon and former President of the Moroccan Endocrinology Diabetes and Nutrition Society (SMEDIAN).

The Minister and her delegation were also briefed on Qatar Foundation’s various sustainability initiatives and green solutions. After the presentation, they were shown an impressive 3D scale model of the current buildings and construction projects underway at Qatar Foundation.

As the visit drew to a close, HE Marouane signed the visitor’s book and was presented with a memento from Qatar Foundation.
