Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development held a celebration on Monday, thanking 390 of its longest-serving employees for their loyalty and commitment to the organisation.

Certificates of appreciation were handed to the honoured employees, whose services at Qatar Foundation ranged from 5 to 15 years. The event was held at the Qatar National Convention Centre.

Among those being recognised, 328 have been working for Qatar Foundation for five years, 37 others for 10 years, while another 25 employees have been working for more than 15 years.

Engineer Saad Al Muhannadi, President of Qatar Foundation, in his congratulory speech to employees, said: “Qatar Foundation is no longer only a shining example of learning, but also a hub for innovation. This could not have happened without the hard work and dedication of our employees who have, from the very beginning, helped establish Qatar Foundation to become an educational city working to unlock human potential in a unique environment.

“As Qatar Foundation strives to lay the foundations of a knowledge-based economy, its mission and goal are constantly evolving to match modern developments and face up to the challenges of the future.”

Hassan Al Hammadi, Executive Director of the Human Resources Directorate at Qatar Foundation thanked the employees and said: “Qatar Foundation was able to succeed because of the great efforts and cooperation of our employees, past and present. Because of your efforts, our loyal and hard-working employees, we can aim for an even brighter future. I would like to congratulate you all for the great work you achieved throughout the years, and I look forward to working together for many more, to attain new heights in the future.”

The event also enabled Qatar Foundation employees to network with each other, strengthen social and business ties, and to build on the experience of longer-serving staff members.

The annual celebration of Qatar Foundation employees is now in its sixth year. It serves to thank them and encourage them to work harder, ultimately helping to build a better future for Qatar and the region.
