Qatar Foundation brings exciting opportunities to job seekers through QCF

Graduates in search of rewarding work opportunities should look no further than Qatar Career Fair (QCF) to find their ideal job. The fair, which is taking place from April 1^st to April 5^th at Qatar National Convention Centre, actively seeks to recruit new talent for various sectors of the country’s economy, placing Qataris in key positions that will help them to meet national development goals. 

QCF is part of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) who, along with dozens of other Qatari employers, will be aiming to attract new recruits through the fair. 

“With so many recent Qatari graduates eager to enter the job market, and 130 public and private sector companies participating, this year’s Qatar Career Fair will be well worth attending,” said Mr. Hassan Al Hammadi, Executive Director of QF’s Human Resources Directorate. “Qatar Foundation is quickly growing, and with rapid development comes new and exciting job opportunities, tailored to fit all interests and skill sets. And to make Qatar Foundation flourish, we are fully committed to investing in human capital, which we see as the catalyst for helping the nation transform to a knowledge economy.”

Now in its fifth year, QCF offers nationals the chance to impress potential employers through face-to-face meetings. Representatives from the education, science and community development sectors at QF will be readily available to answer any queries visitors to the stand may have. Applicants are also encouraged to meet with QF employees, who will also be present at the QF booth, to learn about their professional experiences and to further their understanding of the Foundation.

“As part of the Qatar National Vision 2030, the Qatar Career Fair strives to attract talented Qataris to build a strong, highly trained workforce for the nation’s future,” said Mr. Ghanim Al Naimi, Director of Talent Sourcing and Development in QF’s Human Resources Directorate. “The key to building this labour pool is providing the nation’s youth with the very best training opportunities to realise their talents and truly unlock their potential. Through our wide array of centres, there is a unique training opportunity for every Qatari at Qatar Foundation.” 

Attendees to the QF booth will receive valuable one-on-one coaching sessions to show them how to put together a winning CV, prepare adequately for a job interview and answer questions successfully when meeting with a potential employer.  Those uncertain about their future career paths will be able to partake in career counselling services and psychometric tests, specifically designed to help them choose a meaningful vocation. 

This year, job seekers will have numerous avenues to apply for positions at QF itself. Visitors to the stand will be invited to introduce themselves through a ‘video CV’ and explain why they are interested in being a part of the organisation. Meanwhile, camera-shy candidates can use one of the many laptops installed at the QF booth to apply for available jobs on the organisation’s website. 

In 2010, QF’s rate of Qatarisation exceeded the five-year goal it had set for itself, and its commitment to enlisting capable graduates continues this year.
