Building on its long-term partnership and support to the Jordan Football Association (JFA), PepsiCo-Jordan announced its sponsorship of the Prince Ali Centers’ Trophy Ceremony. The Ceremony was held at the Qusai Al Khawalda stadium in Al Hussein Youth City, following the conclusion of the final matches of the PepsiCo Football League for the Gifted which featured 2000/2001 and 2002/2003 players.

During the Trophy Ceremony, Deir Alla Center and Madaba Center were announced as first place winners of the 2000/2001 and 2002/2003 categories respectively. In addition, 80 coaches - 20 of whom are females - were honored in recognition of their dedicated efforts with regards to training the players and developing their athletic abilities.

“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the winning teams and urge them to keep up the pace so as to continue to achieve future successes. Our longstanding partnership with the JFA has yielded numerous accomplishments and encouraged talented football players to develop their skills and competitiveness, subsequently transforming them into professional athletes who are capable of competing on the regional and international levels,” stated PepsiCo-Jordan General Manager Eng. Nidal Hamam.

In turn, JFA Vice President Eng. Salah Sabra expressed that JFA - which is spearheaded by H.R.H. Prince Ali bin Al Hussein - firmly believes that the Prince Ali Centers play an integral role in discovering talented players and developing their physical and technical capabilities in order to provide national teams with qualified athletes who can represent Jordan in the international football arena.

Eng. Sabra added, “PepsiCo-Jordan’s ongoing support and sponsorship of the Prince Ali Centers has been key to helping JFA expand its outreach and uncover local talents across the entire Kingdom. Over the course of our partnership, PepsiCo-Jordan has done all that is in its power to advance all aspects of the Prince Ali Centers’ operations, on par with top professional standards. I would like to take this opportunity to thank PepsiCo-Jordan for its continuous support, and look forward to further building on our long standing collaboration for the greater good of Jordan’s youth.”

PepsiCo-Jordan has been sponsoring the PepsiCo Football League for the Gifted - which is held under the patronage of H.R.H. Prince Ali bin Al Hussein - since 2009, as part of its ongoing support to the Prince Ali Centers’ activities and training.

Pepsi Cola International

In 1965, Donald Kendall, the CEO of Pepsi-Cola, and Herman Lay, the CEO of Frito-Lay, recognized what they called “a marriage made in heaven,” a single company delivering perfectly-salty snacks served alongside the best cola on earth. Their vision led to what quickly became one of the world's leading food and beverage companies: PepsiCo.

For more than 50 years, as tastes, trends and lifestyles have changed, PepsiCo has evolved with them. Our willingness to adapt and grow has transformed our snack and soda company into a collection of global brands including Pepsi and Quaker, Gatorade and Tropicana, Frito-Lay and beyond. Today, PepsiCo is one of the world’s most-respected companies with products sold in more than 200 countries and territories and 22 brands that generate more than $1 billion each in estimated annual retail sales.
