The first phase of the competition commenced on Friday 13th September, 2013, at the Landmark Hotel, where a judging panel comprising renowned Jordanian and Arab figures from the beauty, make-up, etiquette and fashion industries evaluated shortlisted contestants, 20 of whom were chosen to qualify for the second phase of the competition; Facebook voting. During the second phase, the five contestants who receive the highest number of Facebook votes will travel to Beirut to compete against Lebanese finalists in the Miss Diet Pepsi 2013 grand finale event.
