Panasonic today has announced that the company has been awarded a prestigious EISA (European Imaging Sound Association) Award for the digital interchangeable lens of LUMIX G. The LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm / F2.8 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-HS12035) won ‘European Compact System Lens 2012-2013’ impressing the EISA Awards panel with its “Ultra High Refractive (UHR) glass to minimize chromatic aberrations, retaining a high image quality right across the image area” and the “metal-barrelled construction”.

The LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm / F2.8 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. offers a versatile zoom range of 12-35mm (35mm camera equivalent: 24-70mm) featuring F2.8 brightness at entire zoom range.

Crystallizing Panasonic's optical technologies, the "X" lens features superb image rendering for lifelike textures, crisp edge-to-edge contrast, a unique Nano Surface Coating for minimal ghost and flare and natural atmospheres with remarkable transparency.

Inclusion of UED (Ultra Extra-Low Dispersion) lens, UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) lens and aspherical lenses realizes high descriptive performance from corner to corner with high contrast and resolution at entire zoom range yet achieves the downsizing of the unit to boast outstanding compactness for high mobility.

In addition to the digital imaging product, Panasonic is also awarded with the VIERA TV TX-P50VT50 for ‘European Plasma TV of the year 2012-2013’ and the Blu-ray Player DMP-BDT500 for ‘European Blu-ray Player 2012-2013’by the EISA judges.
