OSN inks multi-year deal with Eagle Films for first run, exclusive Hollywood titles

With the agreement, OSN will have exclusive, first-run access to even more of the latest top-grossing Hollywood titles, assuring subscribers the largest breadth of big screen premieres.
The agreement will give OSN access to top-rated films each year underlining the network’s position as the ‘destination of choice’ for movies, while reinforcing its ‘see it first on OSN’ proposition.
David Butorac, Chief Executive Officer, OSN, said: “One of the key differentials of OSN is the variety and number of premium movies we showcase. Our focus is to expand our global partnerships to bring brand-new and innovative content, which further establishes us as the network of choice in the region.
“Eagle Films has a strong repertoire of top film titles, which will be brought exclusively and first on OSN. This partnership will complement our existing deals with international studios to bring even more world-class content to viewers across the region.”
OSN will premiere an array of upcoming blockbusters including Escape Plan, starring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger; Leonardo DiCaprio and Mathew McConaughey’s Wolf of Wallstreet; the next installment of the Hunger Games: Catching Fire starring the Academy-award winning Jennifer Lawrence; 12 Years a Slave, starring Brad Pitt and Michael Fassbender; I, Frankestein, starring Aaron Eckhart, and Sin City 2, featuring Hollywood’s biggest action heroes – Bruce Willis, Daniel Craig and Clive Owen.
The network’s growing digital footprint enables OSN subscribers access to Eagle Films’ titles on OSN Plus HD, the regions first 3D, HD, internet enabled satellite receiver and recorder, as well as OSN Play, the region’s first online television viewing platform.
Jamal Sannan, Chief Executive Officer, Eagle Films, added: “I’m pleased that OSN and Eagle Films share the same vision in establishing new means in the digital entertainment space. With OSN’s unique regional presence, backed by cutting edge technology, and Eagle Films’ expertise in the film industry along with our box office movies line up, we will reinstate the pay TV and Video On Demand service model.”
Subscribers can enjoy the latest films via OSN’s premium ‘On Demand’ service and viewers in KSA will benefit from OSN’s ‘Saudi Home Cinema’ offering, which premiers the biggest movies within days from its theatrical release.
