OSN bags two awards at the 3rd Arab Satellite Channels Festival in Cairo

OSN, the leading pay- TV network in the Middle East and North Africa, was recognized today at the 3^rd Arab Satellite Channels Festival in Cairo bagging two prestigious awards reaffirming the company’s efforts in providing its customers with the best TV viewing experience. 

OSN was mainly awarded as the Middle East’s “Pay TV Broadcaster of the Year” which recognized leadership in providing customers with the widest choice of new premium western and Arabic entertainment as well as unique services through its latest introduction of OSN Play, the region’s first online TV platform available for free to OSN subscribers which enables them to watch their favorite content on the go anytime and anywhere through their laptops and iPads. Moreover, OSN’s own production “Sister’s Soup”, hosted by the Hemdan sisters won the award of excellence for best entertainment show.

OSN was awarded through a public voting system created and managed by the festival in addition to a judging panel of esteemed celebrities from the industry including Mr. Ibrahim Abu Zekry, Ashraf Abdel Ghafour, Tayseer Fahmy and a number of entertainment giants.   

The Arab Satellite Channel Festival is a prestigious event that gathers entertainment industry experts and thought leaders from across the region.

Worth noting that earlier this year, OSN was awarded the “Media & Marketing Company of the Year” and OSN’s CEO, David Butorac, won the “Media and Marketing Business Leader of the Year” award by the Gulf Business Industry Awards 2012 in recognition for its technology leadership, innovation and business leadership. 

Moreover, the highly esteemed ASBU BroadcastPro ME 2012 awarded OSN two highly sought-after awards in respect for the company’s origination and technology leadership for OSN Play receiving the “Technical Achiever of the Year” as well as the ‘Best Sports Coverage of the Year’ award for the network’s dedication in airing the Olympics and Paralympics earlier this year.
