Rotana Hotels, the leading hospitality institution in the region, has announced the appointment of Mr. Mark Timbrell as General Manager of Oryx Rotana, the five-star luxury business hotel in Doha.

Timbrell has considerable experience in the hospitality industry, where he began his career in 1983 in Britain and moved between several hotels. In 1995, he took the leadership of Forte Grand Hotel in Amman - Jordan for two years. He then moved to Bahrain to handle the Regency Intercontinental Hotel until 1999. In the same year, he returned to Jordan and managed several hotels until April 2007. Following this assignment, he joined the Rotana Group as General Manager of Gefinor Rotana Hotel in Lebanon, and in 2013 he was appointed the General Manager of Hotel Khalidiya Palace Ryhaan by Rotana in Abu Dhabi.
