An open meeting between the Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs and the employees of the Municipal System

As a step aimed to enhance the communication between the employees and the higher management in the Municipal System, and to identify closely all issues that concern the employees directly along with the obstacles they face in their careers, the Department of Municipal Affairs held an open meeting in the Municipal Theatre at Abu Dhabi City Municipality between His Excellency Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Chairman of the DMA, and the staff of Abu Dhabi City Municipality and DMA. The meeting was attended by HE Engineer Ahmed Mohammed Sharif, Undersecretary of the Department of Municipal Affairs and HE Khalifa Al Mazroui General Manger of Abu Dhabi City Municipality and H.E Musabah Mubarak Al Mirrar General Manager of the Western region Municipality a number of executive directors in the Municipal System.

H.E Majid Ali Al Mansouri said, "This meeting aims mainly to thank and appreciate the employees of the municipal system for their outstanding efforts that led to the development of the municipal system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Added to that it is to identify the concerns of employees and provide all the needed support to them in their careers, in order to support the efforts of the municipal system towards achieving the aspirations of our government to provide the best services to residents of the Emirate and its investors. Al Mansouri added when we look to a promising future we seek to achieve specific objectives set by the government believes we must be completely ready and prepared to face the challenges, and should consider all of the aspects of the development, such as the career support, human development, the national abilities of national forces, and enhance their creativity. "We are meeting today to establish these principles and the emphasis on the need to address all the obstacles to achieve them" said Al Mansouri.

H.E Khalifa Al Mazroui General Manger of Abu Dhabi City Municipality emphasized on the importance of the workforce at the municipality and meeting their requirements of training and development to enhance the public services and achieve our government ambitions to offer the best possible services to the public. Al Mazroui said that service satisfaction is as high as 80% and looking to increase it further with the help of professional employees in the municipality.

Meanwhile, the municipal system employees asked a lot diverse and comprehensive questions which were reflected positively on the meeting. The questions were mainly about and the work environment and the requirements of the future that enable the employees to reinforce the ability of the municipal system to upgrade the provided and HE Majid Al Mansouri along with the concerned executives representatives were there to answer all of the questions.

Most importantly is that this open meeting will be held in the next phase between HE Majid Al Mansouri and the employees of the municipal system in Al Ain City Municipality and then in the Western Region Municipality. Those meetings comes out of the municipal system's belief that the process of communication between the employees and management is of the very importance, as it contributes to remove obstacles of the progress and prosperity of the staff, and it makes it possible for the municipal system to achieve the aimed goals.
