Ooredoo wins Telecoms Technology Investment of the Year Award at CommsMEA 2016

Ooredoo Oman received the Comms MEA award for Telecoms Technology Investment of the Year at a prestigious ceremony in Dubai last week; an impressive endorsement of the company’s inspiring commitment to technological innovation as it continues to provide quality coverage that meets the fast evolving communications needs of the Sultanate.

In the presence of a host of industry leaders, Sultan Al Wahaibi, Director of Implementation & Infrastructure accepted the award on behalf of Ooredoo Oman. Also short-listed for excellence in Customer Service Provider of the Year and CSR Campaign of the Year, this is Ooredoo Oman’s second successive Comms MEA honour, having previously been awarded Middle East Mobile Operator of the Year in 2015.

Indeed, today Ooredoo’s mobile network geographical coverage is high compared to other countries of similar size, reaching out to 99% of the population to serve customers even in sparsely populated areas.

Celebrating the outstanding achievements and leadership of operators, vendors, and regulators across 15 categories, Comms MEA are regarded as the region’s premier and most prestigious telecommunications industry recognition. Highly competitive and keenly contested, the nominations are judged according to strict criteria by a panel of top industry experts.
