Ooredoo Spreads Joy on International Day of Elders

Ooredoo and the Omani Women’s Association joined forces to celebrate senior citizens in Bahla to mark the International Day of Elders. The initiative celebrated the role of senior citizens in Omani society and strengthened social connections across generations.

The event, titled Nadi Al Quloub Al Athba, brought together Omani elders for a series of engaging activities. These included Quran recitation, light exercise, and an all-important phone-use workshop, as well as open discussions and competitions. The day concluded with a traditional Omani coffee gathering. In the past the team have also supplied support and visited care houses for the elderly, making this an important part of their ongoing activities.

Together, Ooredoo and the Omani Women’s Association recognised the vital role seniors play in passing down wisdom, culture, and strength — uniting families across generations and helping to shape the Oman we know today. Ooredoo aims to foster fully inclusive community engagement and support for all segments of society.
