Ooredoo sponsor of ‘Fight Like a Girl’ event in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month

Ooredoo Kuwait, a member of the international Ooredoo Group, today announced its sponsorship of the ‘Fight Like a Girl’ gathering, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The event will be held under the Patronage of His Excellency the U.S. Ambassador, Mr. Douglas A. Silliman on Monday, 26 October 2015, at the Kuwait Regency Hotel.

The ‘Fight Like a Girl’ event will be attended by the President of The International Women Group, Ms. Michele Blackett, President & Judge of the American Women League, Ms. Linda Greenstone, in addition to the wives of ambassadors representing various countries such as Armenia, Switzerland, South Africa, Hungaria, India & Brunai.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Mijbil Alayoub, Director of Corporate Communications at Ooredoo Kuwait said “Our sponsorship of this event stems from our belief in the importance of raising awareness of breast cancer and supporting the cause in general. We hope to make a positive impact by highlighting the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle and regular screening”.  

Key event speakers will be Dr. Fahd Al-Mulla, Director of the Research Core Facility (RCF) in Kuwait
University, Dr. Noha Al-Saleh, Consultant Surgical Oncologist at Al Seef Hospital and Dr Noor Al-Huda Karmani, Head of the Breast Imaging Unit at Al-Sabah Hospital.
