Oman Oil Marketing Company - Beach Cleaning Campaign 2019

Committed to making a positive impact, Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) in partnership with Muscat Municipality organized a beach clean-up in Al Athaiba in observation of Oman Environment Day.

Working tirelessly to instill a culture of social responsibility that goes beyond the company’s walls, OOMCO today pioneers a range of social activities and initiatives across the country in collaboration with various local government, private and non-profit associations and organizations. The removal of rubbish including bottles, plastic bags, and metal waste that had accumulated along Al Athaiba’s shoreline not only provided Muscat residents with a beautiful and a clean destination to enjoy, but also aimed to encourage people to dispose of trash responsibly.

Committed to responsible and ethical operations, the company also adopts a number of sustainable environmental management and conservation practices across its business. These include its ‘Solar’ initiative to educate students on the importance of renewable energy and also incorporating the use of solar energy to power bus stops and its service stations.
