OCTAL employees walk in solidarity to raise awareness for cancer research and education

More than 80 OCTAL employees united with hundreds of Dhofaricitizens and residents at a walkathon in Salalah, organized by the National Association for Cancer Awareness,to celebrate people who have battled cancer and empower communities to fight the disease through public awareness and education. The pioneering manufacturer of PET resin and sheet also sponsored the event as part of its corporate stewardship and community outreach.

Under the theme Show You Care, Be Aware, the walkathon is a staple awareness drive by the Association to encourage people of all ages to stay healthy and reduce their cancer risk whilst raising funds for cancer research and healthcare services. Through such partnerships, OCTAL aims to foster a work culture that inspires employees to volunteer their time to causes for a greater good and engage Oman’s future generation to realize the positive, long-term impact simple individual actions can have on the community at large.
