Octal celebrates achievements of long service employees

As part of its ongoing commitment to foster employee talent and recognize outstanding achievements, OCTAL recently honored 34 staff members for surpassing five years of service and for their contributions towards OCTAL’s growth that saw the company transform from a regional leader in PET production to a global leader in clear rigid food packaging. Employees from every department of the business, including back office and support staff, were recognized for their steadfast commitment and dedication that enabled OCTAL to meet the rising global demand for PET. 

“Our valued employees have played a pivotal role in OCTAL’s year on year achievements which could not have been attained otherwise. We are overwhelmed to see so many employees grow organically within the organization. We will continue to offer them personal and professional career guidance and development that will only empower them to take their careers to new heights,” expressed Mohammed Al Mashani, OCTAL’s Head of Personnel Affairs. 

He added “The expansion of operations allows each OCTAL team member to feel part of something special and contribute to the economic development of Oman.” 

OCTAL began operations in 2006 and has since become the world’s largest producer of PET resin and sheet on a single site. Today, OCTAL is one of the largest employers in Salalah and employs more than 550 people who are offered opportunities for career advancement in a thriving company that leads a growing industry.
