Intertek Launches First Executive Awareness Seminar in Bahrain

Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, is hosting its first Executive Awareness Seminar in Bahrain at the InterContinental Regency Hotel on December 13, 2017.

The five-hour highly-customised seminar for leadership and management teams, will provide an overview of the new and updated requirements for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, as well as the anticipated requirements of ISO 45001 expected to be published next year. The new standards focus more on leadership, process management, context of the organisation, risk-based approach and change management.

Speaking about the seminar, Samir Ahmed, General Manager at Intertek Business Assurance, said: “With the key changes in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the launch of the new ISO 45001, leadership plays a vital role in any organisation’s success, now more than ever.”

The seminar discussions will also cover the recently issued resolution by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) related to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 transition process. Certification bodies must conduct all ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 initial surveillance and re-certification audits based on the new versions - ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. This encourages certified organisations to upgrade to the new versions of the world’s leading management system standards and helps them to properly understand the changes and undergo upgrade audits with a clear perspective.
