NBO’S Hassan Al Lawati Joins National Parasailing Team For European Championships For The Disabled
NBO has welcomed more than 250 interns in 2022 in the internship programme which is designed to upskill Omani graduates and enhance their banking and financial experience.

National Bank of Oman’s (NBO) Hassan Al Lawati represented Oman in recently competed three world-class international championships in Europe. Hassan represented Oman as part of the ten-member National Parasailing Team in the Belgian Sailability Cup for the disabled, France Hansa Class Championship and 2022 Hansa UK National Championships. The team were selected from the ‘Sail Free’ programme, which was launched in December 2019 by Oman Sail and Oman Paralympic Committee in partnership with BP, with the aim of introducing people with disabilities to the sport of sailing. Now as Customer Experience Specialist, Hassan has been with the bank for the last seven years.

NBO’s long-standing commitment to Oman’s young people is demonstrated by a number of initiatives that it organises and supports, including its partnerships with the Ministry of Labour to offer a supplementary course for graduates of the National Leadership Development Programme, Etimad and Outward Bound Oman which will see 600 young people develop their skills. Through these initiatives, NBO is empowering young Omanis to take their place as future business leaders and supporting the government’s ambitions for socio-economic development. 

To date, NBO has welcomed more than 250 interns in 2022 in the internship programme which is designed to upskill Omani graduates and enhance their banking and financial experience. This will help them make their way through the bank’s different divisions and branches and, ultimately, equip them with the professional and social skills to confidently enter the job market.
