NBK holds its 6th Annual International Advisory Board Meeting in Kuwait

National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) held the 6^th annual meeting of its International Advisory Board (IAB) in Kuwait to discuss the latest economic and geopolitical developments in the region and world as well as NBK’s strategy.

The meeting highlighted the increasing challenges that are facing the global and regional financial markets, and their implication on GCC economies.

The meeting was chaired by the Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Sir John Major and attended by Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Former Prime Minister of Singapore and Senior Advisor of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Mohamed El Erian, CEO and co-CIO of PIMCO, the Chairman of the President’s Council for International Development, USA, William Rhodes, Senior Advisor for Citigroup, President and CEO of William R. Rhodes Global Advisors, LLC, Josef Ackermann, The Chairman of Zurich Insurance Group Ltd and Former Chairman of Deutsche Bank Group, Martin Feldstein, President Emeritus and Professor of Economics at Harvard University, United States, Abdlatif Al Hamad, Chairman and Director General, Arab Fund-Kuwait, Charles Dallara, Chairman of the America’s, Partners Group, Switzerland, Lubna Olayan, Deputy Chairman and CEO, Olayan Financial Company, Saudi Arabia, Anthony Cordesman, Arleigh A. Bruke Chair of Strategy, CSIS and Edward Morse, Managing Director, Global Head of Commodity Research for Citigroup.

NBK’s International Advisory Board was established in 2007. NBK is the only Arab bank to have an International Advisory Board. The board members include world recognized political leaders, businessmen, bankers and economists.
