NBB Sponsors and Participates in the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum 2024

Manama, Bahrain – 18 May 2024: The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) sponsored and participated in the recent World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum (WEIF) 2024. Held under the esteemed patronage of His Royal Highness Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince & Prime Minister of Bahrain, WEIF 2024 took place from 14th to 16th May 2024. This year’s forum focused on the theme “Achieving the SDGs through Fostering Innovation and Economic Growth.”

Having previously supported WEIF through its National Initiatives programme under the National Governance pillar, NBB took a significant step forward this year by becoming a key sponsor of the initiative. This enhanced participation allowed NBB to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to sustainable development and strengthen its visibility and reputation within the region’s entrepreneurial and investment community.

Corporate Finance and Sustainability Manager at NBB, Abdulrahim Abdulhameed, represented the Bank on an insightful panel discussion titled “Bahrain Conducive Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem (The Bahrain Model).” The session highlighted the Kingdom’s success in fostering a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and innovation.
