NBB Launches Innovative Gamification Campaign for Credit Cardholders

The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has announced the launch of a unique campaign for Mastercard credit cardholders, allowing them to participate in simple challenges via the Points by NBB app and increase their chances of winning a Cadillac OPTIQ Luxury Electric SUV.

The campaign is designed to make card usage more fun and engaging. Customers can earn points and enter draws every time they use their cards for daily purchases, with the ability to track their progress easily through the app. The campaign began in early October 2025 and will run until 31st January 2026. Cardholders can choose from various challenges in the Points by NBB app and use their Mastercard across three spending categories.

Each challenge offers different chances to win based on card usage. The more a customer uses their card for daily purchases, the higher their chances of earning draw tickets and entering prize draws. Progress in each challenge can be easily tracked via the Points by NBB app, making the experience more transparent and interactive.

In addition to category-based challenges, customers can further increase their chances of winning by redeeming 500 base points for an extra draw ticket from the “Challenges” section in the Points by NBB app. The final draw for the grand prize will be held on 25th March 2026.
Commenting on the launch, Subah Abdullatif Al Zayani, Chief Executive – Retail Banking at NBB, stated, “We have divided the campaign into several segments, allowing customers to participate in various challenges through the app. The more the card is used for daily purchases, the greater the chances of winning valuable prizes. At NBB, we believe that rewarding our customers starts from the moment they use their card, and we always strive to make every banking experience more enjoyable and rewarding.”

This initiative represents a strategic push by NBB to accelerate digital engagement and align financial incentives with broader sustainability goals. By offering a fully electric vehicle as the grand prize, the Bank reinforces its commitment to environmental responsibility, in line with its ESG strategy and its approach to promoting sustainable finance.
