Nawras CEO to discuss latest broadband advancements during Telecoms World Middle East Conference

Nawras Chief Executive Officer, Ross Cormack, has been invited to speak about the region’s latest broadband advancements at the Telecoms World Middle East Awards Conference, being held in Dubai next month. Cormack will join his peers from the Middle East and North Africa on a panel focusing on the latest technology and how it can be used to create great value for customers.
Ross Cormack said, “It is an honour to be invited back to the Telecoms World Middle East Conference to represent Nawras on a regional stage. Moderated by Bahjat El-Darwiche, Partner at Booz & Company,, participating operators on the panel will include Daniel Ritz, Chief Strategy and M&A Officer of the Etisalat Group, Hatem Bamatraf, EVP Network Development & Operations of Du, Hatem Dowidar, CEO of Vodafone Egypt, Rashid Adbulla, CEO of Batelco, Gurkan Ozturk, CEO of Sama Telecommunications, Stefan Sieber, Vice President of MEA at Orga Systems and Hisham Akbar, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Zain Group.
At the same event, Nawras Chief Marketing Officer, Martin Lyne, will deliver a keynote address, on ‘Driving loyalty and customer engagement through genuine innovation’. Nawras has pioneered customer loyalty in Oman by introducing the first and only loyalty programme offered by a communications provider in the Sultanate and rewards customers with exciting and exclusive privileges for using the service.
Nawras was also the first communications company in Oman to offer ‘plug and play’ home broadband. Broadband usage continues to increase on an almost daily basis as more customers enjoy surfing the net, posting and viewing video content, engaging on social media and much more.
To meet the growing demand for data services and enhance the customer experience, Nawras is currently turbocharging its entire network by greatly extending 3G+ coverage and preparing to launch 4G LTE.
